The story of the Congress Centre Ville Ponti
began in the 1960s, when the Varese Chamber of Commerce bought an elegant
complex consisting of three historic dwellings. The Villa Andrea, Villa
Napoleonica and Le Sellerie formerly belonged to the illustrious Ponti family
of Milan, and the buildings dominate the city of Varese from their spectacular
setting in 56,000 square metres of timeless parkland.
Displaying a variety of styles reflecting the
different periods they date from, the Villas are surrounded by a beautiful
setting of ancient trees and colourful flower beds.
The redevelopment and planning initiatives that
have transformed the complex into a multifunctional Congress Centre reflect a
twofold aim - to enhance a fascinating historical location.
The elegant, refined setting is complemented by
latest-generation congress technology, offering clients an all-round, quality
service.
From catering services and hotel logistics to
secretarial services, post-congress support, hospitality staff and the most
advanced technology, the Ville Ponti package transforms three charming period
villas into a modern, efficient Congress Centre.
Villa Andrea’s 10 rooms cover three floors. They
are all equipped with cutting-edge conference technology and offer guests every
comfort. The Salone Andrea on the second floor can accommodate up to 200
people. On the lower floors, the historic rooms of the Villa offer a seating
capacity of between 20 and 120.
Called Villa Napoleonica after its architectural
style, the external perimeter walls of the structure remain intact. An original
wing of the building has also been conserved, complete with frescoes and period
furniture.
Extensive restructuring initiatives designed to
enhance the interior spaces through a design concept emphasising modernity and
functionality have led to the creation of an elegant groundfloor auditorium.
This space features a full range of conference equipment and can seat an
audience of 400.
On the upper floors the outstanding package
offered by this structure also include a large adaptable open space and 8
meeting rooms, each offering a different range of facilities.
